The Edgerly “Model and Practice” School

The Edgerly “Model and Practice” School. Built just after the turn of the century, Edgerly would quite literally serve as a “model” for students and teachers alike; in 1910 it became one of the first Junior High Schools in the United States.

One-on-one instruction: the ideal for students and teachers alike.

Fitchburg State College has over one hundred years of teacher training behind it. The facilities that were once in Edgerly are now in the McKay Campus School, where some six hundred students (pre-K through grade Five) attend daily classes.
